Baby Hallie Corinne Williams has arrived!

Hallie Corinne Williams arrived in the world on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 5:40 pm at Shawnee Mission Medical Center. She weighed 7 pounds, 5 ounces, and measured 19" long (so no 10 pound baby as we were scared of!!).

Cottonwood Falls Baby Shower Fun!

On Sunday, October 16, we were blessed to have a baby shower thrown in our honor by Joyce Watts, Nancy Griffin, and Aubrey Watts at the Methodist Church in Cottonwood Falls. They had surprised me with lots of old Golden Books cutely displayed on a table with all the yummy food--including homemade pumpkin bread with cream cheese sandwiches. I think I ate 5! :)  We received lots of oh-so-cute presents, and it was great to see everyone who came. Aubrey even put together a couple fun games that tested some motherly skills! :)   We can't thank everyone in Chase County enough for showering us with lots of support and presents!!

Big Brother Marvin getting excited for his sister's arrival!

For 3 years, our dog, Marvin, has been the only child in our household. Of course, he wasn't spoiled! :)   Marvin put us through a great training course to have a child. From late night potty breaks to cleaning up when he gets sick to those special cuddles. We think Marvin will be a great big brother to Baby Girl Williams. He'll always be our special baby no matter what!

Sleeping on his little sister again. I think he's starting to figure it out.

Sleeping on mommy's tummy. Oh, the sweet moments in life!

Third trimester---here we go!

It's hard to believe I'm already 28 weeks! Since the first 6 months have flown by, I'm sure these last 3 will go even quicker. My tummy has been growing more and more every day, and it's so neat to feel (and see!) so much movement. This has been the one thing about pregnancy I had no idea about--feeling movement all the time. I guess I just thought you'd maybe feel the baby move once or twice the whole time?? :)

We get more and more excited every day for our Baby Girl Williams to arrive!

We love the BumbleRide stroller!

After 3 hours of exhausting shopping for the perfect stroller last weekend for our first little bundle of joy on the way (who could ever imagine there are SOO many stollers out there??), my hubby and I were shown the BumbleRide stroller. We instantly fell in love with it! It was exactly what we were looking for--a jogger and a lightweight regular stroller all in one! We can't wait for our little girl to arrive so she can ride around in style--and safely!

Now, if only the Baby Guy Gear Guide would just happen to select us to win their new stoller, we would be so excited!!! :)

Daddy is the coolest!!

Daddy took a trip to Boston a couple weeks ago to see the Baseball Hall of Fame, go to a couple Red Sox games, and tour his old hometown of New Fairfield, CT. While there for the week, he made some time to pick up some cute things for Baby girl Williams, who we know will be a huge Red Sox and Patriots fan! Wasn't that just so nice and thoughtful?? We think so!!
And Daddy also brought something special home for mommy, too! I'll be carrying diapers and bottles in style with this fabulous Coach baby bag! I think Daddy is spoiling us a bit already, but we love it!

Janice at 22 weeks

In the past couple weeks, I've been really feeling my belly "pop." That is, I'm finally showing a lot more than I did in my first 20 weeks, which is so exciting! I can now really feel those precious baby kicks, and I'm sure I'll feel those a lot more in my third trimester--feelings that I'll treasure the rest of my life.

One of the many positives of being an expecting mama--finally being able to park right up front at Hy-Vee!! Mama Jan at 20 weeks.
As a way to keep memories of our new little one, I finally decided to start a blog. I'll have to admit--I wasn't so fond of keeping up with my journal in middle school and high school, so we'll see how well I do here.

Bryan and I are SOOO excited to be expecting a little bundle of joy in December. Of course, there are always things you're nervous about (mainly, will I be a good mom??), but I'm sure my motherly instinct will kick in and we'll do really well. It's so nice to have such a supporting hubby--and Bryan has already said that he'll be in charge of doing her hair and teaching her how to cook! :)

We've had a lot of practice being parents over the past almost 3 years to our canine son, Marvin. We know he will be a great big brother and I'm sure try out all her toys!
